Earthing Solutions
Earthing system plays a vital role to dissipate the Fault current (Equipment Earth Fault, Earth Leakage and Lightning current) to the mother Earth.
Mother Earth has different soil strata at Different location. Based on which the Resistivity will Vary.
Soil Resistivity is the most important component to design the Earthing System. Based on the Soil Resistivity values, the number of Earth pits and the conductor which has to be laid on the earthing grid, shall be decided.
The corrosion of the conductor which will be installed in the earthing system also depends on the type of soil:-
- Lower the soil resistivity - Higher the corrosion
- Higher the soil Resistivity - Lower the corrosion.
To have a maintenance free and long life of earth Electrode, Ground Enhancement compound has to be selected appropriately which will ensure to safely conduct the fault current to earth and will enhance the life of Earth Rod.
